Zoe Lovell is a multidisciplinary artist and graphic designer from Hobart, Tasmania. Zoe is primarily interested in form and body language through portraiture, whilst her design practice mainly consists, however isn’t limited to, illustration, identity, packaging and publication design.

Following a Bachelor of Visual Communication in 2016 from the University of Tasmania, Zoe completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts with First Class Honours and made the Executive Dean’s Honour Roll in 2017.

In 2018, Zoe was artist in residence at the University of Tasmania, where she also devoted her time assisting the Head of Studio in the third year Visual Communication class. In early 2019, Zoe undertook her second residency at the Cradle Mountain Wilderness Gallery, focussing on the changes in her environment through drawing studies during the week long stay.

In October 2019, Zoe presented her first solo exhibition, Conversations with the Human Form, at Top Gallery in the Salamanca Arts Centre, whilst also undertaking a number of freelance design projects for local and interstate clients.

In 2020, Zoe undertook a three month internship with For The People Design Agency in Launceston, Tasmania. Zoe gained the experience of working within a studio environment across branding, case studies, social media and illustration.
